imagine the freedom to be who you truly are

You’ve spent so much of your life trying to “fit in” —

by being the person everyone depended on for so long. You've forgotten how it feels to say no. Your habit of constantly putting others before yourself has made you beyond numb and exhausted. You're cracking under the pressure to keep it all together, so much that you've been feeling like you don't matter to anyone unless you keep making yourself small.

You never felt like you can be yourself, even though you've done everything to be well-liked. Acceptance meant keeping all your discomfort to yourself, never saying 'no' or speaking up for what you need. You know this means you're one conversation away from total overwhelm, but even thinking of setting boundaries makes you anxious.

More than ever, you want the scattered and spiralling thoughts to stop racing at hundreds of miles per second, 24/7, and take all the time you need for yourself, so that you aren't facing an infinite to-do list. You want to stop doubting yourself and actually own your time and energy.

I work with people who...

  • Never feel like you're good enough, despite everything you've achieved

  • Always lonely, even when surrounded by friends and family

  • Exhausted from overthinking your life down to every detail

  • Guilty for resting or taking any time for yourself

  • Paralyzed by uncertainty and the anxiety of your life

  • You can't ever depend on anyone, especially when you're struggling.

  • You can't say no, even when you're already overwhelmed

  • No one understands how you feel

What if you don't have to run on fumes, think about your to-do list, and finally have the time to breathe?

— WHAT IF YOU WERE MEANT TO TAKE UP SPACE?

Hi, I’m Wren,

and I'm here to help you get to the heart of the matter and really change the way you feel, so your life can begin to feel truly like yours.

I get it, maybe finding a counsellor was exhausting, maybe the idea of therapy still scares you even to this moment, and you might have so many questions about how everything will unfold once you begin. And I want to tell you that it's okay. I see you.

Counselling with me means not facing your anxiety, depression, or trauma by yourself. Healing is relational, and it happens the best when you feel supported, seen, and wholly understood.

Therapy with me isn’t the same old talking about what happened. I believe healing means not simply reaching understanding, and the heart of it means to really help your body feel differently. This is why I'm trained in evidence-based relational and somatic methods, including Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), so that I can help you not only understand what you need, but really feel safe in your body, too.

HOW I HELP

Counselling specialties

  • You’re feeling burnt out and completely exhausted. No matter how much you try to go above and beyond for everyone around you, it doesn't seem like enough. You’re tired of the constant people-pleasing, and its enough to make you question everything: your relationship, your job, your worth, because nothing seems to bring joy anymore.

You don't have to stay stuck here. We'll take the time to the heart of what's weighing you down, then gently shift towards growth of new patterns for relating to yourself and others you truly feel comfortable with.

  • Maybe you've finally found an explanation for your experiences that makes sense, or you're still wondering whether if your experiences align with what it means to be neurodivergent. You've forced yourself to do things the way everyone else seems to do, only to end up frustrated with yourself, all your life.

No matter what your experiences are, neurodivergent counselling is meant to help you. Here we don't hold your experiences to the standards of a neurotypical world. Instead we work through your experiences and provide the kind of help you need, whether it means creating day-to-day systems that work for you, helping to undo trauma and shame, or forming sustainable relationships to create a sense of belonging.

  • You may feel disconnected from everything and everyone, especially yourself. You can't relax or fully feel like you can lean on others, and even the smallest things can feel unbearably painful. Maybe it's the nights when you struggle to fall and stay asleep, the moments of feeling shame and guilt from decades ago you still remember too clearly, or the tears that overwhelm you without reason.

I use evidence-based healing modalities, incluing Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) and Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT) for gentle and effective trauma reprocessing in your brain and body, so that you can move forward with ease and clarity.
