Anxiety & Perfectionism Counselling
Let’s put the inner-critic on mute, so life can feel like yours again.
Imagine trusting your guts and being confident in yourself — let’s help you get there.
Nothing feels like enough, no matter how much you achieve personally or professionally. In fact, you’re proud of the high bar you’ve set for yourself, but those days? It’s creeping towards a place you find yourself having trouble reaching. Now each time when you barely manage to grasp, you wonder if this is all you’re capable of accomplishing, and your work suffers.
You’re terrified of saying ‘no,’ even when you know you don’t have much left to give. Not because you truly want to, but because you can’t imagine letting anyone down. You find yourself stuck running in circles, constantly being the person taking care of others and keeping peace, even as you quietly drown underneath every obligation.
You used to think fulfillment meant being the person everyone else depended on, but now you’re running on empty. Your efforts go unacknowledged, and you feel invisible. You wonder if you really matter to others, but feel guilty for thinking this way. Maybe, you wonder, if you could just figure something out or reach another goal, then things might change, because no one else seem to mind how things are going. All you want is for life to be a little less overwhelming, but you can’t seem to get there by yourself.
Maybe you’re…
Wishing you can say no, but it feels impossible
In a cycle of self-loathing, people-pleasing, and resentment
Overwhelmed by thoughts like “I don’t want to do this anymore”
No longer confident in your own decisions, and have let others decide for you
Stressed out and feel like you don’t have any time for yourself
Feeling stuck, no matter how hard you’ve tried to change
You’ve spent a long time holding everything together for everyone else, and I want you to know your feelings aren’t overreactions. You’re responding to something real, because life is full of challenges. And when you add in anxiety and the constant pressure to perform beyond your best, getting through each day can feel like feats of strength without ends in sight. Every anxious perfectionist I work with have been here.
With me, therapy isn’t about trying to manage stress — it’s about getting you to a place where making changes and saying ‘no’ feels less impossible. This means you get a comforting place that’s just for you, to sort through the chaos, put words to heavy feelings, and figure out what you actually need to feel less burnt out, so you don’t have to tough it out on your own anymore.
Navigating what you’re feeling and making ways towards your goals is hard work, but you don’t have to do it alone. It might be hard work, but with consistency, it’s possible to break out of the stress and anxiety you’ve been feeling stuck in and embrace the confidence and clarity you’re looking for. I’m here for all of it, and one day soon, I know you’ll be confident handling it without me.
